Ultimaker Original on 1.75 mm
Converting my Ultimaker Original to 1.75 mm filament with Ender 3 parts.

The Ultimaker Original (2011) was my first personal 3D printer, received at the end of 2012 and used without major issues until 2020. After that:
- all my other printers used 1.75 mm filament, and I no longer wanted to manage two filament stocks;
- the hotend was ageing, and replacement parts were unavailable or too expensive;
- the extruder had become almost unusable.
The conversion uses standard Ender 3 parts (extruder, hotend) to switch to 1.75 mm. The step-by-step guide (disassembly, wiring, resistor to solder on the mainboard, firmware, calibration) is in the project docs, along with the 3D printed print head mount and the OrcaSlicer profile. Work in progress.
